Many beautiful things to enjoy if you choose the recorder | from the age of 7
The recorder has suffered from an image problem. You start with it, slog on it for a while and then choose a 'real' instrument. Nonsense of course. In Renaissance and Baroque style a large amount of beautiful music has been written for the recorder. The recorder can also be heard more often in contemporary music. It is a special instrument, with a beautiful, clear sound. Moreover, the recorder has a large family, with no less than nine different types. Together they sound like beautiful. Plenty to do and lots of beautiful things to enjoy if you choose the recorder!
Extra: Second year students are invited to play in one of the recorder ensembles for free. For an overview in 1 minute of several recorder ensembles click here.
Additionally, it's possible to buy extra lessons to form a trio or quartet. There is a lot of great repertoire for this and it's a great way to effectively work on playing together and developing tone. For a short example, click here.
After your application has been completed, the teacher will contact you about the day and time of the course. The group allocation takes place on the basis of equal age and equal level. Sometimes, due to the many applications, we have to work with a waiting list. This course starts after the summer holidays. Teacher: Ellen Kooimans
